I was at the baptism today for the little boy I nanny for and I started feeling really funny and a bit warm (and it's generally a bit cool in there). Well, I almost blacked out as I was walking out of the sanctuary. There were quite a few people around so they got me some water and crackers, and I got a ride home (D was working all day today). I really hope that was a one time thing. Other than that it was a great baptism, and they did a full immersion (he wasn't too happy about that).
Oh, no... I might be wrong, but what you describe reminds me of something that happened to me when I was on Metformin. I was kneeling during a Holy Hour when I suddenly became very warm and then the blackness just seemed to close in from all sides. Very weird. I almost passed out. I would learn some time later that the Metformin was causing low blood sugar. Could it be your blood sugar???
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better today. No doubt, that was scary!
ReplyDeleteOh no! A friend of mine fainted during Mass when she was about six weeks pregnant, but it only happened the once and she was fine for the rest of her pregnancy. Hope you are feeling better!
ReplyDeleteYikes! I hope that it doesn't happen again! I'm glad you are okay. :)
ReplyDeleteYikes! Hope you are feeling better and it doesn't happen again! That happened to my SIL once and it turned out her iron was low. Maybe PPVI would know why it happened?
ReplyDeleteSounds a little scary..glad to hear you are okay. :)
ReplyDeleteOh no! I'm glad others were there to help. Hope that doesn't happen again!
ReplyDeleteBe careful mama! Make sure you have food and drink with you at all times. I like fruit leathers and a bottle of water or little bags of chips or cookies. Even a hard candy is good sometimes...You might as well get used to having your own stash since you'll def. need one for the baby when he/she gets here! I had to buy a bigger purse to hold my loot. I think I could feed my family out of it for a week! 'Glad you're feeling better and that folks were helpful! Blessings on you and baby!
ReplyDeleteYikes glad you're ok!
ReplyDeleteNot a good feeling! I hope that is the only time it happens. It did happen to me once, and I am glad it was the only time....
ReplyDeleteOh crud! Catching up on blogs now and hope to read that you are doing better. Maybe dehydration??
ReplyDeleteFull immersion baptism is the best. Sorry to hear you were woozy - hope you don't have that happen again! (Drink lots of water!! I mean, I know you know that, but more can't hurt...)
