A Catholic's journey through infertility, pregnancy and now motherhood.
"The Lord does not delay his promise, as some regard 'delay,' but he is patient with you, not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9
It's not the way I wanted it to happen, but the baby was diagnosed with intrauterine growth restriction and I'll be induced on Friday at 38 weeks and 5 days. Either my husband or I will post after the birth.
Prayers! My #2 was an unwanted induction. In the end it was perfect and I can see God's hand through all of it. We had a lot of concern living almost an hour from the hospital, and with my husband being in school right by the hospital- I had a very fast labor with #2 (at least for a first baby) and I really didn't want to have my mother in law driving me to the hospital :-) I had been praying, praying for a Saturday delivery and it was a Saturday morning when some concerns arose and we decided to induce that evening. I was able to give my first baby lots of hugs and give all those last minute instructions I'd been worried I wouldn't be able to give. The midwife broke my water and #2 was born 1 hr and 17 mns later- perfectly happy, healthy (and naturally!). I still wish I would have been able to avoid to go into labor on my own but God certainly had his hand right there and took care of all of us!
Praying for you all!
