Book?

I've been thinking for a while that there aren't any books that I've found that are for infertile Catholics who want to follow the Church's teaching. Most of the books that I've seen about IF focus on ART, and as far as I know even the Christian one's aren't written from a Catholic perspective. I kind feel like maybe I should write (or be part of writing) "A Catholic Couple's Guide to Infertility". I'm not sure how realistic it is, but I've been thinking about it ever since I found AYWH's blog. I'm not a fabulous writer, but like I said this has been in my heart for about 6 months now. Thoughts? Anyone interested in helping write or anything if this actually happens?

  1. I think there are a few Catholic books focused on infertility. I will try to see what I can find. A book I read recently "Life-Giving Love" by Kimberly Hahn talks about all aspects of marraige and being open to life and included a chapter on miscarriage and infertility. I am praying for you. Sorry I did not call you back, things in my life are crazy right now and just got more intense yesterday when my vehicle left me stranded after getting bloodwork done. Hope to catch up with you soon. If God has placed this dream of writing a book, he will honor your work of trying to make that happen. You know that saying "God does not call the qualified, he qualifies the called!" Blessings to you today!

  2. I have read blurbs about Catholic Infertility and I don't necessarily agree with them, even though they are spot on.

One thing I read one time made me so ticked. It was talking about how you should offer up your IF suffering for past transgressions. I got so mad. As though I am in this place of suffering now because I sinned in my past. That is completely wrong. Then we wouldn't need confession if all we had to do was offer it up. ;) Sorry my little rant.

It would be interesting to see a true life book. One book I started reading was the Women Healed book by Dr. Hilgers. That was awesome! I was reading on ladies story as if I was reading my own IF journey. It was crazy! :) I started crying in my Dr.'s waiting room as I read it!

I would definitely keep your options open! :) That sounds like a fantastic idea.
