Yeast

Just a quick update. My endometrial cultures from my surgery came back with an unusual strain of yeast so D and I will be taking Di.flucan later this week.  I'm still waiting to hear if there will be any other treatment for my chronic endometritis (chronic inflammation of the uterine lining) before my surgery.

  1. Well, the good thing is that dr H. is finding some answers. That is such a blessing in itself. Praying for you!!!

  2. I had the same thing after my surgery in Omaha. Yeast was found inside my uterus according to the pathology report so both DH and I were tx'ed with Di.flucan.

    Continued prayers for you!

  3. Gotta love those yeastie beasties! I've suffered with quite a few yeast infections in my life and I hope now that I've had my endo removed and my anatomy straightened out (so to speak) that the yeast infections stay away.

Praying for you Mrs. Blondie! Your surgery will be here before you know it!

  5. This inflammation business seems to be very common. (After all the reading about widely different treatment regimens and diagnoses, it has crossed my mind that maybe all of the hardcore infertiles - you know, people who suffered childless long enough to start a blog about it - might have THE SAME THING. If so, and as predicted, I'm screwed, because no way do I have the dietary discipline of callmemama or TCIE.) Anyway, hope medicine and surgery go fabulously, miraculously well.
