Good news and annoying news

The good news: I have 10C/KL, so I'll probably ovulate pretty soon and I'll most likely be pre-peak for my surgery (I still have to get through ovulation next cycle to guarantee it).

The annoying news: My ovaries are have spend the past two days trying to get out of my abdomen (at least that's how it feels).  We also haven't used any days since Monday and I'd be surprised if we used tonight since Friday is his day he hangs out with one of his friends and rarely is home before midnight.  I'm not so much worried for this cycle, but our timing has almost always been not what I'd like (by D's choice).  Best case usually is using 3 days before peak and peak day.  I'd much rather use the day before peak, but every other day for 5 days rarely seems to work out.  I'm worried that we are going to waste all our time after surgery due to crappy timing, and I can't see any way to help the situation.  I'm waiting for D to decide when he's going to do his repeat and more formal SA. I have a feeling it'll be at the last minute just before my surgery.

  1. The best time for us was p+1. When I had abdominal pain it was a good sign of O, so try to use that day and the day after. :)

  2. P+1 would never have occurred to me...you know, one thing I find interesting is how widely couples vary in their, ah, timing. I thought we were infrequent earlier in our marriage, but now it's even moreso. I don't know if that's something wrong with us (medically??) or just temperament, or maybe even partly caused by all the medication I'm on. And then there are couples who have what I'll call impressive dedication, after years of marriage. And added to the frequency factor is the resentment factor, in many cases - having to badger each other into giving it a shot in the first place, even on an infrequent schedule. I wonder what accounts for all of the discrepancy.

  3. Isn't it funny how us IF'ers have to think and worry about the timing however I'm sure preg tee.ns haven't given timing thought! I know it stressed us out quite a bit when I was doing those meds...I'd get pretty upset if my dh was tired or NITM (not in the mood). It all became mechanical. I don't think we ever figured out the best time..of course...we never conceived! Good luck! :)

  4. I was home today and watched "Giu.liana and B.ill" on E. It was all about timing and them TTC!! Done in a funny, entertaining way, but very cool to see it on a 'rea.lity' show and discussed so openly.

  5. Having to deal with the timing is terrible - it's one of the worst things about IF. We probably fall into Misfit's "impressive dedication" category, but we do work to make it not seem as um . . . scheduled as it actually is. I know it's frustrating though. I wish it were easier.

  6. Ugh...if it is not one thing it is another with TTC, right? I get very confused as well, because I don't always think my ovulation (well the actual pain that I feel that leads me to think I ovulate) matches up with my peak day and I mean it could be 2 days off. Is it just me or is that something that others experience as well. It just makes the timing thing all the more confusing! Best wishes for "perfect timing" in the upcoming months! :)

  7. Ugh, the ovary pain is hard to work around :(. We went through a period of time where it was incredibly difficult to time things properly - whether it was exhaustion from work or just neither of us in the mood - but in the last 6 months or so, we've really recommitted to making sure we hit the right days. It helps that my husband is taking a bigger role, but it's still not easy when we're both tired and stressed from work.

Thanks for the comment on my blog!

  8. I hope that pain subsides and that it never returns after surgery!
I hear ya on the timing, too. I'm always trying to get the perfect days, but ultimately something will always happen to swindle the "plan."

  9. We have timing issues lately too! I keep feeling like a quitter sometime when I am NITM or when he is NITM or just too tired. It has been extremely challenging this cycle for timing.
You feel like the one time you DON"T TIME it right, that was YOUR chance!!! As a whole community of IF couples, the pressure just never stops. It's amazing there are any pregnancies :)
I am a big fan of the P+1, I think that is when the magic happens. hahahaha - who am I trying to kid, the magic has not been happening no matter what days we use, maybe the tide will change soon!

Hope you have a nice weekend!
