Beta #2, Bras and more

I got my second beta drawn this morning, P+17, and it was 1104.  That's almost double and the draws were less than 48 hours apart so I'm feeling good about it.  The doubling time, according to this handy beta doubling calculator, was 43.22 hours, which is about what is expected.  I also had them run the ob panel now so that I don't have to get any extra blood draws, since I've already had 3 blood draws in the last 10 days and  I'm going to be getting blood draws every two weeks.   Last night I got my first PIO shot.   The mom that I nanny for taught D how to give the shot (I have been so lucky with my nanny jobs).  D did really well, and it didn't hurt until later.

I'm feeling pretty good.  I have to eat pretty much constantly, but it's keeping the nausea at bay.  I did stand up too quickly earlier and I got dizzy.  I feel a bit bloated too.  I think the fatigue is starting to kick in too.

Like I mentioned in an earlier post, I had to buy a new bra on Saturday since I manage to leave mine at home.  I'm concerned that this bra will not fit very long (I of course went and got an expensive VS bra since they actually carry my size).  The bra was snug when I bought it and it's feeling even more now.  About long was it before any of you ladies had to get a new bra and how many have you gone through?  Any other bra advice?

D was reading some of my blog yesterday and was asking about various acronyms.  He was also asking about betas and their doubling.  He's be reading the book I got him and has learned quite a bit already.

Does anyone need a bottle (it's opened) of sustained release B6?  I just bought a new bottle less than a week ago and I'm not going to be taking it for quite a while.

I'm going to post my meds, etc. I was on this cycle tomorrow.

I'm probably going to take a commenting break for a little while.  I'm still reading, but really can't pull anything together to say.  I'm still out here praying for all of you.

Beta #1 (run locally)

My friend, the doctor I used to nanny for, helped me get  bloodwork drawn to be run locally and also to be sent to PPVI as soon as I can get in touch with them tomorrow.  I got the HCG number just a few minutes ago and P+15 it's 572.  I'll post the story of everything so far later, but I'm going to evening Mass in a few minutes so this is just a quick update.  I got a progesterone prescription (suppositories, can't get PIO on Sunday) and I'll start that tonight.  The local lab should have the progesterone in the morning and I'll update once I hear.  I'll be calling both PPVI and my local ob/gyn tomorrow and I'll let you know what I learn.

P.S. Does anyone have a link for a chart of average HCG days post ovulation?

Negative beta...big surprise, right?

Negative beta draw at 9 DPO. Now they want to put me on Provera. I don't even know if I should keep going to this dr (ob/gyn).

Blood, blood and more blood

I'm still bleeding/spotting. I got my progesterone levels back and it was over 40. After getting those results, my dr wanted a beta done (even though I'm only 9 DPO...crazy early). Hopefully there will be some answers soon. This craziness is driving me crazy.

BFN beta and plan for next cycle

My dr's office called to tell me that my beta was negative. I was expecting that due to the negative test that morning.

I'm going to be doing unmedicated cycles for a while, since the obgyn said that we need to move on to the RE to do any more treatment. DH wants to plan down some more of our debts before we start doing any treatments so we aren't going to go yet. My hope is to start testing in 6 months or so and we may wait until next April or so to do any treatment (assuming I don't get and stay pregnant in the meantime). I'm 27 so we have time, but I don't want to waiting too much longer than that.

I'm start Vitex today, with EPO and B6. DH hasn't had an SA, but I figure it's better to assume that there is improvement to be made. He is taking arginine, zinc, selenium, l-carnitine, and a multivitamin (he's also taking B1 and B6 for other reasons).

BFN at 14/15 DPO

I got a BFN this morning. I'm 14/15 DPO and 16DPtrigger. I've gotten my beta b/w done tonight, but there's a very high likelyhood I'll be moving on to Cycle #9 in the next few days once I stop the progesterone. I knew that testing on Mother's Day was not going to give me good results.

The beta was negative

The beta was negative. That means that my last progesterone was last night and I hopefully will be getting FP by Saturday. I'm glad to be done with the progesterone, it's making me nauseated, tired, and bloated. They are calling in my rx's and I'll probably have an ultrasound Monday. This was not unexpected but it's still makes me sad. I had a little sliver of hope that I was feeling crappy because I was pregnant and that the HPTs were wrong.

Now I really am just waiting for cycle 8, and hoping for a January baby or at least a 2009 baby. I'm looking forward to FP getting here so we can start fresh. Hopefully, 100 mg of Clomid will give me an earlier o and maybe that will make it more likely that I can get pregnant. I feel like this is our last chance since it's the last medicated cycle. I'll need to get my 7DPO b/w done I think during a non-medicated cycle, so that I can see if I need the supplements to have any chance of pregnancy.

Update: Doing a beta today

I actually will be doing a beta today (from when I called my dr). I hopefully should have results by tomorrow morning. I'll be taking at least one more progesterone (which the dr's office is calling in now). I don't assume that I'll get any different results, but it's good that they are double checking.
