Three Years

Three years ago today, D and I got married.  Here's my post from our last anniversary that has a picture and details if you want to see.  We don't really have any plans since D's working during the day and I'm babysitting tonight (and we desperately need the money), but we did get to spend a lot of time together on our trip from Thursday to Sunday.

Today is also the feast of Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha, who was a Native American who lived in New York and Canada in the late 17th century.

As you might guess, the anniversary is a little bittersweet since we still haven't been able to conceive and this makes it three years of trying.

  1. Happy Anniversary! You are a lovely couple.

I know it is also a sad reminder of the TTC efforts, but I am so hoping this will be your year.

  7. Happy Anniversary! Three years huh? I planted a tree in our backyard for our 3rd anniversary...it's gotten so much bigger (we've been married now eight years).

I know what you mean about how today is such a special day and in some ways..it's hard because it's a reminder of IF and longing for a child...the years do pass by. Praying for you!!!

  11. I wish I had a magic wand for you... I hate how marriage anniversaries, such beautiful moments, are so tainted by the "IF" anniversaries.

I still feel like your time is not far off. I think that surgery fixed a LOT for you, and it may just be a matter of time. You are probably so sick of hearing that, I know :(
    Big hugs. This is hard.

    And HAPPY Anniversary!

  14. Happy anniversary! I know how much each anniversary with IF is a painful milestone but I have great hope for you that you will have real cause to celebrate your future anniversaries--the effects of your surgery might need a little more time to kick in.

  16. Happy Anniversary! Your dress was just beautiful! I'm sorry that with an Anniversary comes the pain of another year gone by with IF still being in the forefront. I hope that this coming year is the one for you!

Also, I did end up finding 2 Kateri medals, so I will put them on rosaries and send them out to you this weekend or Monday at the latest. I hope that still works out.
